HELP! ELW and C1 Writing Requirement!

<p>So I'm a confused incoming freshman to UCSC, and I've been in and out of UCSC's recorded menus and haven't gotten anywhere! So, I ask you folk:</p>

<p>I received a 5 on my AP Language test two years ago.
Does this satisfy my ELWR and C1? Or only one of them? Or both?</p>

<p>I ask because my score has been inputted into UCSC's website, yet it still won't let me enroll in my english class! (which is a Merrill core course).</p>

<p>Hope someone can help me out!</p>

<p>i don’t think language counts. If you scored a 3 or higher on the AP English exam, you would pass.</p>
