Help! Emory/Dartmouth/Notre Dame/Case?

I've been accepted to all with similar financial aid packages. I'm pre-med. May 1 is way too soon! Where should I go?

well are you jewish, a stoner, or irish?

Cookie is not jewish herself, so you need not be jewish to go to Emory. I'm both agnostic and coreist

you also dont need to be a stoner to go to dartmouth or irish to go to notre dame

it just helps ;)

go to dartmouth

I've heard (don't quote me on this. look for it yourself) that case accepts 77 percent of case students who apply to their med school. And case med school is ranked 24th in the nation, right?

of course Emory's med school is ranked 19th, right? I have no idea how many people they accept from their undergraduate school though. It's a nice place though. Of course, Case has a superfast internet connection.

you have a better chance to get into Case med school

I'd say Dartmouth.

I know which one i'd choose in a heartbeat.

Dartmouth is in another league over these schools. Go there and if you do well you will have a great shot at the top 10 med schools. Dartmouth is a top med school feeder. I know the med school accept rate for my class was around 92%.

A full ride at case, emory scholars, a full ride at ND, and Dartmouth full tuition would be a much harder choice. This one is simple.

dartmouth is def a better school, but it's so damn cold up there. plus whats there to do off campus?
college is more than just getting into med school. you can do that from anywhere

dartmouth, hands down.

um, hello... IVY LEAGUE ALL THE WAY. my dad went to cornell over emory and my mom went to columbia over duke... i'd say pick the ivy, because both my parents were glaaaaad they did. i didn't get into any ivies, though :(. but really, go for dartmouth.

Beyond the Ivy league title/ prestige/ reputation/ grad placement, Dartmouth is such an awesome school and experience in terms of quality of life. A hard one to pass up on.

My son is at Emory, so I'm a little prejudiced, but his roommate is pre-med and has had wonderful research opportunities given to him at the CDC (which is located on the edge of Emory's campus) and also has had a paying job in a lab at Emory Hospital (on campus). I'm not sure hwat Emory's med school admist rate is , but I've heard it's extremely high.

I attended Emory Open House 4/15/2005. The subject of Medical and Law school placement was covererd several times by Emory officials.

50% pre-med students placed in Med Schools, 70% pre-law students were placed in Law school. Emory pre-professional schools do give preference to Emory grad applicants. These numbers are slightly above the national average but I would not catagorize it as "extremely high"

Dartmouth is just sweet. Regardless of its Ivy league status, it's one of the coolest schools i've visited. I know a few people up there and they say it rocks. The only thing that kept me away from a place like Dartmouth is the weather.

Don't just choose Dartmouth because its an ivy. I think you should choose case...and its got an awesome engineering program too!

Case is garbage compared to these other options (no offense). Program or no program, the campus is the pits, alumni dont give back, it has no community, is in a terrible city, students are unhappy, etc. Most engineers go into business anyway, and Dartmouth is hands down the best feeder of these into top jobs.
