HELP emory needs me to turn in my ED agreement!

Hey guys,

Emory just emailed me and said my "initiated" ED agreement needs to be turned in...

So I printed out the missing ED agreement page.

Do i send just that in? What do i need to put on the envelope?

Also it says that I can fax the page with the hardcopy to follow...does that mean I dont have to turn in my hardcopy by DEC 9 if i send in the fax?

HELP HELP so stressing!

You just have to fax that one paper. That’s what I did yesterday and now my application is “complete” :)

You’ll be fine just don’t stress. First, tomorrow morning fax in the ED agreement signed by you, your counselor and a parent/guardian.

Its the first link on this search: [common application ed agreement - Google Search](<a href=“common application ed agreement - Google Search”>common application ed agreement - Google Search)

You fax the signed ED agreement tomorrow morning, after it has been faxed you’ll be good. After that, they need the hard copy, it will take a while to reach there but they still need the hard copy for your official portfolio. As long as you fax it for them to see you’ll be good, the hard copy will probably reach there a few day later.

Yeah don’t worry I think you’ll be fine. I know when I faxed my first quarter grades, I called the next day and they told me they had to scan it and upload it to my file, so I had to call back in a week - so even when you fax it they may not receive it right away? Not sure.

Also Jason I think this means you’re accepted - because think if you weren’t in they wouldn’t be asking for your ED agreement (am I right). They just wouldn’t say anything - then again they might be doing this just for the principle of doing it. I don’t know.

^I was thinking along same lines, they would only ask for it if you were accepted, but I also got a letter on missing items and it seemed to be server produced. So I don’t know.

Yeah begood - I got an email I think this morning but I could tell it was server produced, it was like the 4th one I’ve gotten.

THANKs GUYS! I feel so much better…whew

Hopefully I am accepted…it would suck on saturday at 12am i found out that im rejected…lol

So I dont have to do overnight for my hardcopy? Cuz i was going to fax it anyway, but just in case I wanted to get the hardcopy in by the dead line!

Definitely fax it in asap tomorrow. That should suffice.

Yeah faxing is enough. I faxed it (no hardcopies sent) and its fine now (:

I recommend you CALL the admission office, and confirm they have all the necessary paper.

The staff is very responsive to specific questions.

Of course, keep a “proof” copy of anything you send.

(Emory Parent)

oh dang!

I sent the ED agreement by fax and sent in the hardcopy by priority mail today…I also sent in the fax confirmation too!

Should i call the admissions office and tell them i sent it?

@angi

Emory requires you to send in the hard copies…its says fax it by thursday 9 by 5pm with hardcopy to follow…

thats what it says on my email!

Hmmm… When I asked about it I replied an e-mail telling me just to fax it… It didn’t tell me anything about hardcopies or mailing…
I guess I’ll give them a call but my agreement says its “completed” anyways.

The thing is… It’s really hard for me to mail things because I don’t live in the US and I usually have to pay like… $50 when I FedEx things…

Jason, does it show as completed now on OPUS?

Angi, international student are probably an exception to the rule…

um… I’m not an international but I emailed about OPUS and I got a reply saying only my ED agreement was missing so I should just fax a copy of it. Should I still send a hard copy?

Yea, first fax the copy, then send the hard copy via snail mail. But I thought the deadline for documents was today 5pm.

That’s weird…I wasn’t asked to send in a hard copy? Should I still do that anyway…I was never asked for hard copy. Is there a specific part on their website that asks for a hard copy specifically?

@begoodperson

yes! thanks for asking…i checked to day and nothing on my opus is initiated. It seems all systems are a go!

It was really stressing cuz I had completed this agreement online and my counselor had sent in her portion by mail…i guess there were some problems…

just glad that it has been fixed…according to rumors…the answers are going to be revealed tomorrow at midnight!

Lol Jason unfortunately you are behind in the loop. Tomorrow @ midnight is a massive pipedream for us. It’s going to be Dec 15th :(

Hey better than April 1
