Help! engineering purdue or rose-hulman

I applied for the undergraduate programs and I get offers from both purdue and rose-hulman institute of technology.
purdue is first year engineering courses
and rose-hulman is electric engineering with $5000 scholarship.
I don't know which one is better for me because they nearly in the same place and also good at engineering.

Rose-Hulman is extremely serious regarding their education program, in fact, their whole institution is based around their engineering programs. If you are hard-core about engineering, I would recommend Rose any day, however, beware that there is no turning back.

I also want to transfer to a better university after first year, and I don’t think I could stay and work in USA because of I am an international student.

Rose-Hulman is in the middle of nowhere and some students complain about the lack of social offerings.

I would pick Purdue.

I don’t know if the “better” universities will accept transfer students after one year or at anytime. Which “better” universities do you mean?

Why would you want to transfer? Purdue is a top engineering school. Are you just looking for a more prestigious name?

I know that Cornel University and UIUC that accept first-year transfer student.

My son got into both and was so excited about getting into RH. We went to visit both and he switched when seeing it. He thought RH was too small and felt like high school. He loved the traditions and the whole school feeling of Purdue.
that being said, I wouldn’t go to any school with the thought of transferring after a year. If what you want is Cornell or UIUC that badly, wait and go next year. I will tell you that Purdue and RH are excellent, top notch schools and anyone can rise to the top of any program anywhere, and get excellent education and jobs.

Thank you very much. So the purdue and RHIT’s educations are on the same level. Is the only thing that I need to consider is the big school or small school?

Terre Haute and W. Lafayette are both in the middle of no where. That shouldn’t be much of a factor.

I would pick rose-hulman due to it being a school just for engineering + smaller class sizes. But Purdue is good, too, and I think it would probably have more to offer.

yes, I agree with that Terre Haute and W. Lafayette are both in the middle of no where. I just what know which school is relatively easy to transfer to Cornel or UIUC and which school’s class is similar as Cornel and UIUC.

What is different of a school just for engineering and a school have a good engineering faculty. And is the RHIT well know in the worldwide as Purdue. Because of there is no rank put this two schools together to compare with, I cannot figure out easily. And do you have any link of rank includ this two schools. And I really think the size of class is not a problem for me.
