Help! Epidemiology

Sorry if there is an existing post but I am not sure where to look.

Can anyone provide information or link me to CC threads discussing how to become an epidemiologist, the steps to take and other essentials? I am currently a senior in high school interested in becoming an epidemiologist.

google is your friend: [Careers in Epidemiology](http://healthscience.byu.edu/StudentOpportunities/Careers/CareersinEpidemiology.aspx)

Sure! I’m super interested in ID, too, though I’m personally leaning towards doctor of infectious disease.
Definitely an undergraduate degree in Biology or Microbiology would be helpful, as would a(n) (Applied) Mathematics degree, or at least high level math classes (mathematical epidemiology is pretty cool).
You’re going to need a higher level degree, either a masters or PhD in Epidemiology or Public Health, or perhaps something more specific if applicable to your interests.

Hope this was helpful
