<p>just an idea, but maybe you would want to consider applying to university of miami
it has some very strong programs in math/science/engineering
not the northeast, but still the east coast
your SAT looks great for UM, and they superscore
their admissions is wholistic, so they will look at trends in your GPA
i think while you don’t NEED to take the ACT, it may be nice to just see how you do
some ppl are more ACT ppl than SAT ppl and you don’t know till you take both
and i think you need like a 31 ACT to be considered for merit money at UM (which they give a lot of)
as far as unstructured activities, it’s fine as long as you’re involved
make sure you list them (even if they aren’t scheduled) and include explanations (attach a resume in additional information section of common app)</p>
<p>what are you looking for in a school? ex. size, private/public etc. (it could help me come up with more ideas)</p>
