3.5 gpa mostly honors with some AP up to junior year, almost all AP senior year

i have some solid EC's, nothing too spectacular, but still pretty good, i dont feel liek listing them all

SAT
M: 720
R: 620
W: 680

I took SAt 2's and got like mid 600's on math1 and ush

I want to study business

i want at the very least 1500 kids in my freshman class. preferably 2000 or above.

i want a good social scene

good sports is a plus but not at all a deal breaker

i want a nice campus feel, it doesnt have to be gorgeous (though obviously it wouldnt hurt), but the campus just needs to have a nice quad where kids hang out in nice weather

i can go either way on frats and sororities so that doesnt make a difference

i want to go somewhere i can be proud to have attended, with good internship and job opportunities and a strong alumni network.

i'm looking most seriously at OOS schools- i live in new york, but privates are an option as long as they are WORTH THE PRICE

cornell- HHUUUUUUUGE reach, i know already so no need commenting on it, but i went for 3 weeks and loved it so i am definitely applying cause a one in a million shot is better than guarnteed rejection of not applying at all.

tulane

vermont

wisconsin

Indiana

uconn

penn state

CU- boulder

james madison

pitt- doesnt fit the nice quad criteria and supposedly is extremely unnatractive, but seems llike a cool place to go to school

SUNY schools- so uninterested, but so cheap

University of Maryland may fit your bill. Big school with a good business program. Sports are big and their version of a quad, the mall, is huge and very nice for hanging out.

Northeastern University is pretty urban, but they do have some green areas. Also a great business school with amazing co-op (internship) oppurtunities.

Also I know you don’t like SUNY’s but you should check out Binghamton.

Other possible choices:

Syracuse University
Rutgers University
Boston College
University of Delaware
University of Virginia (would be a reach for you)

i HATE binghamton with a burning passion. it is a good school, but its like a 13th grade for kids from my school, i am applying, but hoping to god my parents dont make me go there. i also hav become interested in delaware

The first place that came to mind was Villanova, but I think you’ll get more bang for your buck at publics, even at the out of state price. I sense you’re not a shy guy who’s going to need the nurturing environment of a private school.

Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, Miami (Ohio), Kansas, VaTech, Florida, Penn State, Maryland, South Carolina (tops in country in international business).

those are all great suggestions that ive actually already considered. And i looked at villanove also, but i’m jewish and while i don’t need a huge jewish presence on campus, i do not want to be “the jewish kid”

The University of Miami sounds perfect for you!

Great business school, with a very good internships , a great placement program and impressive alumni connections. There are usually about 2,000 freshmen with approximately 2/3 in the top 10% of their class, approximately half of the new freshmen graduated in the top 5% of their class and have an average weighted GPA of 4.2. SAT mid-range is 1240-1380. Great social scene, big time sports, and a small yet active greek scene. They have a beautiful campus with a nice lake in the middle and lots of green space to hang out year round and enjoy the fabulous weather. The whole campus has wi-fi so you can take your lap top anywhere and enjoy the sunshine. They even have a Hillel Center.

i cant get into uva. and miami is EXTREMELY expensive, my parents have already told me that, while it is a great school, it is not worth its tuition.

You should consider Bucknell. It seems to meet all of your criteria. My D is a sophomore and her hall last year had quite a few Jewish students (including a roommate). She knows because of who was celebrating what holiday.

Indiana, Michigan, and UIllinois all fit the bill, along with THE Ohio State University (don’t ask why I typed it like that, I really am a Michigan fan).

Alabama would be good as a financial safety, since you would get free tuition, and take a look at LSU, as well.

Great school, and EVERYONE loves it (take a look at PR sometime and you’ll see. Campus atmosphere is great, too). Especially excellent if you want to study Entrepreneurship (#4 in nation), which makes a great side dish for another business major of your choice. They are also excellent with aid.

i dont require or qualify for any significant need-based aid. and i appreciate the suggestion of bucknell, it doesnt matter what u sed, i am simply adressing the posters as a whole because there were a few suggestions made similar to yours. i wasnt trying to put down your suggestions, i was trying to welcome a broader range.
