Help finding a college

Hi I’m a high school junior starting to look at school options beyond high school. I’m looking at engineering schools across the country but am having troubles finding good engineering schools for a good price. I have a 34 ACT and 4.3 GPA and am involved in numerous extracurricular like debate and in community service. I’m looking for a school that will give me some money in scholarships for my hard work in high school. Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve been looking at:
University of Minnesota
UW Madison (no scholarships)
Iowa State
Wichita State (aerospace engineering)
Texas Tech
Marquette
Ohio State

If anyone could give me some more options that have strong engineering programs and are affordable for the average family it would be much appreciated!

What is your home state?

Minnesota. We have reciprocity with Wisconsin and the dakotas

Check out schools in the deep south like Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Miss State. I can pretty much guarantee, you’ll get a decent scholarship there. Check out Texas A&M too. Also, TCU is a school that offers full scholarships to top students. UT-Dallas is a well known engineering school that you could get a scholarship.

Here are two others you might explore:

WPI: Highly ranked, check out USNWR. Beautiful campus in a nice part of Worcester. We loved the campus vibe. Very hands-on, project-oriented curriculum; three classes per quarter, if all that sounds good. They do give merit aid; it would still cost a pretty high % of the sticker price, I’d imagine.

Miami of Ohio: It has engineering. I love this little chart for merit aid. Note: early aid deadline; super-score for admissions AND aid; not guaranteed, but you’d qualify for top line.

Good luck!

Check out RPI and Clarkson

WPI is Great Worcester well. It’s ok

Union, Lafayette. Run the NPC.
