<p>I am trying to find some schools for a friend to transfer to. He is finishing up his community college units and only has a 2.0-2.2 gpa. His first year and a half were really tough but he has pulled it together and is ready to continue his education. Any help would be appreciated.</p>

<p>If he is a California resident, he can probably transfer into the Cal State system - check the requirements, but for example, Cal State Long Beach requires only a 2.0</p>
<p>^totally agree with the CSU’s. He can use Cal State Mentor site to search for his program/major and which campuses to apply. That should at least narrow him down in the search. Then he can filter out by on-campus housing, vs. size of school, vs. anything else that is a factor for him.</p>
