Good liberal arts programs…

Will you be pre-law or what?

Any other school preferences?

What is your home state?

How much will your parents pay each year?

As of now its Pre-Law or foriegn studies. for payment, my parents can help but im planning on taking on debt to cover it if i need it.

It depends what you mean by mid-sized. Colgate comes to mind because I can think of someone with that profile who went there. It is liberal arts-like but slightly bigger. 3000-4000 undergrads, I think. Your disparity in scores might put off schools that normally would take someone with a 1430 (CR +math), but you don’t know that for sure so you could try Hopkins of Emory for reaches. Lehigh is another larger LAC that might look favorably on those stats. Are you taking SAT II’s? Look through US News national universities #18 - 35 to see which sizes and locations are appealing.

Bucknell, Holy Cross, William & Mary. HC-nice campus 1 hour from Boston. Bucknell-traditional campus in rural Penn.

We need more information: what part of the country? urban/suburban/rural? culture (rah-rah, intellectual, granola, quirky, artsy, preppy, jock)? deal-breakers (single sex, religious, etc…) And of course, your financial need. Help us to help you.

In response to some replies, Intellectual with a side of jock. I know a contradiction. Just definately not granola. for location, anywhere but the sticks is good.

*Intellectual with a side of jock. *

Notre Dame?

USC (Calif)?

*for payment, my parents can help but im planning on taking on debt to cover it if i need it. *

BTW…about loans…FYI…you are limited to how much you can borrow, **so find out how much your parents will pay. **

Federal Direct Stafford student loans are limited to the following amounts…
frosh year $5500
soph year $6500
Jr year $7500
Sr year $7500

Since you can’t borrow large amount to cover any shortfalls, find out how much your parents will pay. Also find out what your EFC is.
