Hello, I'm currently looking for some colleges, and I'm wondering if anyone has some suggestions. At the time I am limited to a vague description of myself and what I'm looking for.

I am a full IB Diploma candidate. I am doing all IB classes and have an uw gpa a little above a 3.4. My extracurricular activities and recommendations are very strong. My sat is nothing very special. I have an 1800, 1190 between critical reading and math. My criteria for a college would be a small liberal arts college with a good psychology program. I intend to pursue a graduate degree in psychology, so a good program to prepare me is essential. Location is not a concern. If it helps, I would describe myself as very quirky. I'm a white male, so nothing special there either.

My apologies for only providing vague descriptions, but any responses would be wonderful!

That is a good point indeed. Sorry for not mentioning that. I will need financial aid, and it will likely be a factor on my end of things as well as a college’s side. With a sibling in college and the chance that I’ll pursue graduate work directly after college, it is a necessity. Sorry for forgetting that, and thanks for the response!

Your GPA and scores will make it hard to find private Us willing to provide aid. Merit relies on GPA and scores while those schools with excellent FA are extremely competitive to get in. Make sure you look at your in-state publics which may have relatively affordable costs.

Some of the regional LACs with less competitive applicant pools may give you merit aid. Look at less expensive, smaller public schools in your state and around the country (U Minnesota-Morris and U of Mary Washington come to mind as public LACs in your range with lower sticker prices).
