Help Finding Summer Program

Hey guys I'm having a little difficulty finding a summer program to participate in during summer. I know there are lots out there but i'm trying to find one around where i live, which is around bay area. So if anyone knows one will you kindly point me there. Thanks

what kind of programs are you looking for, both in terms of content and costs?

Having to travel over the summers is, unfortunately, part of the premed game. Particularly if you're from the East Bay, which does not have any major academic medical centers, then you'll simply have to sign up either with a non-medical project (i.e. UCB), have a nightmare of a commute (UCSF, Stanford), or live somewhere other than home.

I knew very, very few premeds who got to go home for their summers.

if you're interested in research programs here's a list of research programs all over the country.

i see...well this is my first summer back from colloege and most places requires you to be a sophmore before applying, thereforew my option is limited. I was looking for something health-care related and if not then research. I f all else fail, Im just going to volunteer in a local hospital, but is there anythign i can do to maximize the use of my time while volunteering at the hospital? Such as shadowing physician and etc, what will i have to do as a volunteer to get that?
