I'm planning on majoring in English as an undergrad, and I'm still searching for some ideal colleges. My grades are relatively marginal as math and science have been chronic struggles for me, but I feel as though I'm prepared for a challenging English program in college. I got a 36 in English on the ACT; however, math and science brought me down to a composite of 28. I've taken AP/honors courses in English all four years, as well as additional electives in the department. I've also been the editor of my school paper for two years, was selected as president of Journalism Club for my senior year, and was nominated (but have not necessarily won) an editing position in a national organization. I'm also been involved in volunteer work and several other less pertinent leadership positions.

I was curious what my best college options would be with these credentials. I'm not sure if my best route would be shooting for a less renown school because of my overall academic record, or if there are any more renown schools for which I'd be a competent candidate in the English department.

Any insight would be wonderful! Thank you!
