i am a freshman and need tips and help. any special contests or tips for high school. i am also taking an AP class this year, any tips? thanks in advance!

Wow, I think you will do fine! haha, I would be in your pre-calculus class if I went to your school, and I am going to be a junior! Freshman year isn’t too bad. Try to join clubs that you are interested in. They should have a club day where all the different representatives of each club provide you will information. Clubs are also a good way to make new friends. As far as getting a 5 goes, I would just study. Make an effort to study and concentrate in your classes. Don’t worry too much about high school, you get used to it in a week. I go to a high school with 2800 students, so I was nervous the first few days, but once you meet some new people and join some new clubs, you will adjust decently. Good luck!:)

I basically copied and pasted what I wrote for your last thread lol

what is the highest PSAT score possible

240 .(You can always ask pinkslip too:))

Judging from your other post about middle school accomplishments (which is INSANE), it definitely seems like you’re a very proactive and a gifted student - that’s gonna get you far. I think you’ll do great in high school. Just remember: you only get to experience high school once - so make the most of it is ALL aspects (not just academics). AP classes can suck the life out of you, depending on how many you take (and this where time management comes in) - most students (at least CCers) find a way to get around it and it turns out to be an enriching experience (for the most part). Good Luck!

i am discouraged, some of my classmates have national awards in middle school like mathcounts top 50, and national math olympiad invitation. besides, i’m asian, i have to do good, look at my competition.

anymore comments

Focus on high school. Colleges don’t look at what you did in middle school, so just focus on the four years ahead of you.

if you view, please comment

Please, please, please get a head start on extracurriculars NOW. That was my biggest regret, not starting earlier.

I reccomend you become a heroin addict and then kick it so you can write a college essay about how you overcame a heroin addiction.

You’re already behind in math. Most 14 year olds have already taken atleast 2 college level math classes and you’re just taking precalc. It’s not too late to turn it around, but you have to load up on 4 or 5 math classes your freshman year.

You’re probably the type of person who has trouble doing things because you’re in general lazy. I reccomend cocaine, which will hopefully give you the energy to go out and do things.

^Agree with this advice.

Join as many clubs as you possibly can. Colleges like to see a well-rounded person who is involved in a lot of different things.
