Help for physics major.

What are my chances?

2.6uw GPA. I know this is bad but I've had a lot of personal problems growing up. I still love learning and I've shown that through my essay. I've taken the hardest classes and have always been recommended for them despite my grades. I can get a 4.0 my senior year if that helps.

SAT- 780m, 720v, 700w. I'm going to take it again and try for 800 in math.

I'm a female and am interested in majoring in physics. I've always wanted to become a research physicist.

Do you know any colleges that are willing to take a chance on me? I like UIUC but I know that that is a tremendous reach. Any suggestion? Any help is welcome.

You have the scores for Cornell. Which, if you're interested in science, is terrific.

That being said, your GPA could use some work. Turn your hardships into a good essay though! (Don't write a sob story though- schools will not fall for it)

GOOD LUCK :)
