help for regents and chancellor's interview

does anyone know that they ask durin da interview???? i rlly wanna know..help much appreciated :)

It really varies depending on da thug dat interviews u. Durin da interview dey asked me about my HS life, and y I wanted to go to Cal. Dey also ask where else u applied.

You can't really "prepare" for dis interview--its "da" culmination of ur people skillzzz

I die a little inside every time someone who can't even spell or use basic grammar asks about a prestigious scholarship...one that I'm not up for :(

And I agree with liquidmetal's response. U best b pruhpared 4 anythang braah.

What is the accepted "dress code" for the interview? Business casual?

dress shirt, dress pants, black polished shoes probably. (tie opt)

no tux or full on suits. that's over the top...

Thank you very much for da help...sorry for da language btw

wow dude.."koolkat4eva"? stop pretending to be a thug...obviously, being on this site means u aren't..wow
okay, so ima regents dude too and was wondering that what do we have to maintain in high school now to remain admitted to cal? like a B average or what?

lol just don't get any Cs (or Ds/Fs). Shouldn't be too hard since you're a regents scholar :)

are business suits (with skirts) okay for the interview? can being overdressed really hurt?

does anyone have a link to a UC website that outlines what applicants (Regents and regulars) are expected to maintain (GPA, grades, etc) to remain admitted to UCB?

I think, in general, the Regent's scholarship is an academic scholarship. It is about academic potential. I think that's likely to be the focus, your academic promise. I don't think you can go wrong by emphasizing your academic accomplishments and, most importantly, your academic goals for the future. But it's going to depend a lot on the interviewer, what they are interested in, they may want to discuss non-academic ECs more, or whatever.

It's important to remember one of the goals of this scholarship: to convince the most promising kids to attend Berkeley. They know you're going to get into other colleges, they want to convince you to go to Berkeley. Roll out the red carpet, so to speak.

Wow, people here get offended pretty quickly. Alright, I will stop "pretending" to be a thug and use refined language and grammar.
