HELP! Forgot to head my essays with my name, SSN, and birthdate!

So you know how the JHU supplement says:
"Include your name, birth date, and the last four digits of your Social Security number on these and all other additional sheets."

Yeah, um, I kinda forgot to do that and I just submitted. I'm freaking out. I will probably call them when their office is open...

Would that mistake make my application invalid?
Would they think I'm irresponsible because I failed to follow the directions?

Help? Please?
I think I'm about to have a heart attack. Ok fine. Not really...

I can’t speak for the admissions office, but I’d recommend that you keep calm and carry on :-). If it makes you feel better to call the admissions office, then I’d do so. You’re certainly paying enough in the application process to have someone answer your worries. In my experience with college apps though, small errors like these will not destroy your chances of getting in and will certainly not make your application invalid. Good luck!

There is absolutely no reason to freak out. There is also no need to call the Admissions Office regarding this issue.

It is our preference that students provide header information to their essays / short answer question responses as it can help with the processing of application materials, but in no way is this a requirement. As well, not supplying this information is not something that an admissions reader is even going to notice or let alone care about.

Don’t worry about; there is nothing you need to do as follow-up; and the only lesson you can learn from this is in the future make sure to review and re-review any instructions when completing important documents.

Phew! That’s reassuring. Thanks for the advice!
