HELP: Freshman Mechanical Engineer Schedule?!

HELLO ALL :)

For this fall, I'm planning to take

Engineering 10
Math 53
Physics 7A or 7B?
RC A or RC B?

these classes... Do you guys think it is manageable for a freshman?
Also, is it possible to change my schedule after the AP scores come out? I'm planning to skip Physics 7A or RC A if I get a 5 on Mechanics or a 4/5 on Lang.. or is it just not a good idea to skip Physics?

please help me out ! THANKS :)

Your schedule looks good.

It is possible to change your schedule, IF there are still spaces available in the class you want to switch to. Unfortunately, Physics 7 and R&C courses fill up very quickly, so there is a chance that you won’t be able to change your schedule after AP test results come out. My recommendation would be to sign up for 7B rather than 7A during Phase I. You can always go back and take 7A second semester, after you take 7B (they are unrelated). Prerequisites are not enforced strictly.

If you are unable to figure out R&C A vs. B, you can defer that to later and take some other humanities or social studies course (or some other useful course like E 7, E 28, or Math 54/H54) in its place.

Very reasonable schedule. Sign up for 7B and/or RC B if you aren’t sure since they don’t necessarily depend on 7A and/or RC A, respectively.

Thanks @singh2010 & @ucbalumnus  !

What would be a fun/easy humanities course?

When picking the ‘right’ R&C course, go to each department website that offers R&C and when you click the ‘courses’ tab, they should have posted what theme/topic will be covered for each R&C class along with the list of books to be read. Picking the topic that you have some interest is a fun/easy humanities course.

Here is an example of all the R&C courses from the English department:
