Ok, I am out of state…I applied for Fall, got deferred but I got denied…

I really want to be within OSU system…I am interested in OSU Newark, but the OSU admissions said that OSU - N is just as competitive as main campus for out of state students…should I apply for OSU - N for the Winter QTR …despite being advised I probably wouldnt get in because Im out of state…I would do some time at OSU-N until I compiled the amount of credits needed to transfer to main campus

I’d start at any other school first (perhaps instate) then transfer to OSU next year (transfer acceptance rate is over 80%), but then again I don’t know much about Newark. Try calling the Newark office to get more information.

if you really want to go to Ohio St, i’d suggest going to a community college for a year or two then transfer. I’m from Florida, went to a community college received my Assoc of Arts degree then applied to OSU and I was accepted into OSU with only a 3.0 GPA and a 21 on the ACT.

i agree with the suggestions to tranfer in from another school–i know many people who transferred into the osu columbus campus from columbus state community college after one year.
