<p>I'm an ED applicant and my mother was an alum (frequently contributes) and a family friend is a member on the board of trustees. Anyone think either of these (or both) can possibly help? Good luck to everybody as decisions start rolling out!</p>

<p>Having your family friend write a letter in favor of you would have helped if it was done months ago.</p>

<p>Your mother going to Wash U + donating definitely helps.</p>
