I was gapped again this year. This time by twice the amount. I'm expected to cover 23K through work study, savings, stafford and private loans when my EFC is only 3K!!!
I could do a combination of working more and taking out more loans. But at this rate, I'll walk out with a bachelors degree and 50K debt (only 30 of it in stafford, 15 subsidized - I'm an independent student). While I should be able to make decent coin when I get out (around 45K), I don't know if I should enter into that much debt. Especially since I want to go to grad school shortly after college.
I am considering transfer, but I can't imagine there'd be much difference short of of the tuition discounts at an in-state public school.

Is 50K debt feasible in my situation?
Will other schools be more generous? Schools with transfer deadlines still open?
Am I doomed to starting over at State U?
