My Stats teacher is pretty bad and I've gotten A+s in all math classes including calc bc last year as a sophmore but stats is just so gay! I bought the Barrons book but havent used it much tho. Stats is just completely new and just personally, I think its stupid ****. Does anyone have any advice / feeling the same way I do?

I got A's both quarters and a C on the midterm.

I thought stats was completely not new. Mean, median, and mode turned out to be simply that. But I also think stats is stupid. I especially hate experimental design since I'm not too great of a technical writer and 2 of the 5 midterm questions were about it.

Pure math all the way.

2nd Semester AP Stat is much, much better. It's all inference, which basically are tests to see if the data found from an experiment are statistically significant, or if the differences may just be due to random chance. You also use inference to statistically determine ranges in which true population proportions and means lay. If you don't like this stuff, why did you sign up for the class?

AP Statistics is not math. I do not mean that in a sarcastic way.

Yeah we're doing inference this whole semester too, but its just dumb man....

Also, I signed up for it because its the last math class available in my school.

My class was Prob/Stat so it was good. If you think stats is not math intensive, try working on geometric statistics, it gets more interesting. ie roll dice and take their products. You can either go 1->6 or like take the factors of numbers and then see what you get for your parameters.
