So my girl and I just decided to take a break a few days ago...not totally break up...but like...I'm her first b/f, we've been dating for over a year and a half, and she just wants to see whether i'm really what she wants or if i'm just what she's used to or something like that....and i am absolutely MISERABLE...i dont' know how long this break'll last...probably a few weeks or so....we're basically allowed to go do whatever we want...party, try out other ppl, etc...i don't know what to do to get my mind off of it though...i like the girl alot and i just wanna get back together..i have so much work, and i can't concentrate on it, because i'm just ahhhhh!...any suggestions?

Party on!!!!!!!

OR...poetry man, poetry

Beer is the best solution

Me and my last girlfriend have been on a "break" for about 8 months now. It is over with her trust me. These "break" things never work because every time you look at her, you think of the other guys she was with during the "break" and it drives you up a wall until you cannot look at her the same anymore. So my advice (as if anyone takes me seriously on this message board :)) would be to go out don't settle down for a while, and just have some fun with some college girls.

ehh i think 'breaks' are stupid

i've never been on a break but like joev said, they hardly turn out good (judging from what my friends have gone through).

My friends have said that after months and months and months (years too, i guess) of being in 1 relationship, it feels good to get away and hook up with different people - flirting/kissing/hugging/sex/etc..

But you never know.. if it turns out ok, she'll realise how awesome you are and stuff. But I don't know how you'd feel, accepting her back, after all the stuffs that she'd done whilst 'break'ing.

Tell her. Otherwise, how else will she know how you feel?

You could build her a cake or something.

Build her a cake. LOL If he was an architecture major

You're making me hungry.

Yes, construct the finest cake out of the best quality materials you can find. She'll be touched.

(You may be sad to discover that that's a Napoleon Dynamite reference.)

Grow some balls and make out with her best friend.

I'm going to have to go with Communistic China on that one.

Grow up dude.

It's really touching to know that you're crying buckets of salinty for a girl while while you are NINETEEN, (it's alright for a FIFTEEN year old mind you), while by the time it took me to write this, probably over nineteen kids have died in Africa.

Really. Touching. Here's a bloody napkin.

hmmmm....well basically she told me she doesn't know how long she can stay without me, but that we need to fix our problems, because we fight over the stupidest stuff.....i've been with the girl for over a year and a half mind you, anyone with a heart would be upset...not to mention she's a good girl, we have a lot in common, and she's really helped me straighten myself up..not to mention she is FINE...i got angry at her for something stupid and then yelled at her friends for trying to butt in to our business...that's actually what brought this break on....now i'm very sorry if some people are scared of comitment or can't find a girl that's willing to keep them :)...so please don't patronize me :)

Make amends with her amigas and start chilling with them......

You guys never broke up, you just had a fight. I have known couples who do this kinda stuff 2-3 times a week.

Come on man, it's not so bad.

That's hilarious^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If you're having girl problems, I feel bad for you son, cuz I got 99 problems but the **** ain't one!!!!

Holla to that amigo.

jimmyeatworld.. not funny... actaully, totally hilarious hahaha

op: sorry buddy, but these breaks usually mean a real break. grieve for a while. then party harty and meet some new girls.
