Hey everyone! I just got my letter of acceptance to the UW Bothell School of Business, but am still waiting to hear back from UW Seattle and the Foster School of Business. UW Bothell says in the letter that I need to confirm my admission by November 22, 2013, to secure admission. This includes an $100 deposit. I am just wondering what would happen if I secure my admission and then find out that I am accepted to UW Seattle? Can I still go to UW Seattle instead and then tell UW Bothell that I no longer wish to attend? Thank you anyone that can help!

I got accepted to Tacoma first and was strongly advised not to accept their offer until I heard from Seattle. I was told that once you accept an offer of admission from one of the sister campuses, you can’t take Seattle’s offer.

I would call the UW Business School to find out your WSA score and then see if your stats are above or at the level of admitted students for the next quarter.

I did call the Business School and they said they are not releasing the scores until after notifications are completely finished which will be after December. She said this is because last year there were complications sending it out with the acceptance letters. I don’t know what to do. I would much rather go to Seattle, but I have no idea what I got on the WSA. I felt good about it, but you can never tell how someone else will judge your writing.
@Jsmith210-So what happens if I do not accept their offer and then Seattle rejects me? :(

I don’t know. You might contact admissions and make them aware of the issue and the impending deadline. Perhaps they will at least be able to tell you if they have completed your application. I would think that the next wave of acceptance notifications should be coming soon and you would be notified of a Seattle decision before the 22nd. I think it just comes down to how you are going to feel if you accept Bothells offer and then are offered admission to Seattle.

My guess is that as long as you don’t actually start attending UW Bothell, you can still accept their offer and then go with Seattle if it comes along. Just make sure to notify Bothell about it. The $100 won’t be refunded, but this way you have some insurance.

Actually, on the admissions website it states that a student make only accept one offer of admission from any of the UW campuses. Once you have accepted the offer and paid the deposit there’s no going back.

I stumbled upon this today when I was trying to figure out how to decline my offer from Tacoma :)

Okay well my transcript loaded and it just says “University of Washington” at the top. This happened on the 8th, so hopefully that means it is Seattle and the letter will come soon.

Good luck!!

Thank you! I will call Seattle admissions on Monday and let them know the situation also!

@marslove3, call Tuesday. Monday is Veterans Day and the school is closed :)

Oh yeah!! Forgot about that! Thank you, I will call Tuesday :)
