my stats are
sat 1 : 2070
gpa : 3.7ish uw 4.1w
ec : couple of leadership postions + music ecs , community service ..

I really want to apply as for an EA admission and my sat 1 test score is not the best but its decent ...the thing is I dont have a really outstanding GPA and my courses are not that rigorous compared to other applicants so I am trying to make up the weakness for my gpa with my test score. I would do my best on the essays but I dont know how they will look to the adcoms.

WHat should I do?
Just submit for an EA admission or study for SAT1 in dec and boost my score up Then apply ?

This way they can at least put a score by your name. If you wait the field will be filled with more applicants and usually better stats. At least here they can review your score, which is pretty solid, and perhaps even admit you. I guess its really up to you, the December SAT may not come in if you do EA, but then again if you wait the applicant pool will be harder.

and also, could you please tell me how to interpret the fast fact thingy? 27% of students with a 4.0 GPA
51% of students with a 3.9 GPA or higher
66% of students with a 3.8 GPA or higher

i dont understand all these different percentage…

Completely disregard those statistics (even though I may have mentioned using them before). Those display the old recalculated grading system. U of M now uses your weighted GPA straight up for admissions. If I remember correctly though, the middle 50% high school GPA was 3.7-4.0, ACT 28-32, SAT Math 660-770, SAT Reading 620-730, SAT Writing 630-730.
