<p>hey guys i have asked this questions a few times and have received no response from no1!!! soo hmm...</p>

<p>im an international student and my act composite score is 33. my got straight As when i graduated from high school, and i scored 6As and 1Bs for gce a levels.</p>

<p>my major / main extra curricular involvements are as follows:</p>

<p>violinist in the school string ensemble which won the top award for the nationals.
section leader of the Chinese orchestra which also won the top award for nationals.
member of the student council
member of the dance society
3rd in chess (nationals)
1st in website design competition
outstanding student award when i graduated from high school</p>

<p>beyond that i also took and pass my country's equivalents of the series 7.</p>

<p>i'm going to apply for</p>

umich
uchicago
amherst
middlebury
swarthmore
brown</p>

<p>do i stand a good chance at all? or if not, what do i hafta do to increase it?</p>

<p>are you from hwachong? that said, you look very competitive for those schools, especially if you have good recommendations + essays</p>

<p>NYU and Michigan should be no problem if you do not need financial aid. You are a reasonable candidate for the others, but again, it gets much tougher if you need aid.</p>
