I am going to ask my teacher for letter of recommendation in 2 weeks
I am applying to 6 colleges through common app...
I will get 2 recommendation from 2 teacher and extra letter of recommendation from UCLA graduate

THROUGH COMMONAPP
( HOW TO DO IT?????????????????)
PLS HELP

SHOULD I GET IT ONLINE OR OFFLINE???
SHOULD I USE COMMON APP FORM OR HAND WRITTEN ONE??
SHOULD I MAKE MY TEACHER WRITE 6 TIMES AND THEN SNAIL MAIL TO EACH OF THE UNIVS??\
CAN I PHOTOCOPY AND MAKE MY TEACHER SIGN IN 6 OF THOSE AND THEN SNAIL MAIL??
CAN IT BE SENT ONLINE TO ALL 6 UNIVS??

This is probably a better question for your guidance counselor. That being said, everyone in my graduating class is doing it online, to the extent that I didn’t even know snail mailing it was an option.

I believe you can go to school forms, then add teachers and their email addresses. An email will be sent to them with instructions. Make sure you talk to your teachers in person before you add them to the commonapp.

Thanks for all your reply…but I still dont understand this part at all??
PLs pls make it more DETAILED. . . . . .PLS

WHAT TO DO STEP BY STEP…PLS

i too have the same query moreover how does the email option confirm that a genuine teacher is writing the letter of recommendation

Alright, hope this reply helps.

Online. Why? You really want to have to pay money and even wait to get the offline stuff when you can get it for free and at the instance of a second [blink]?? I don’t think so.
I think this is very similar to your first question. But most colleges use common app…hand written one will be a pain…especially when it will come to writing those essays and making sure that your actual WORD COUNT is within the limit stated. Also, from experience, I know that some people tend to write more/bigger…so I don’t know if they provide you with extra pages or whatnot. Anyways, unless one of your 6 colleges requires a special form aside form common…I say use the common app. Even colleges that don’t do common app, they will have their own website and online form that you can do via computer. DO NOT PRINT…why would you, silly ;)?
Yes, if you think they have no life…LOL JK…don’t take that seriously. But this is a valid question in that first time applicants usually have little clue of how their teachers handle this task…since we rarely tell what the teacher should do. Tell them that they should first write the outright essay that will do you a superb justice. This can be for your best college or one of the 6. For the rest of the 5 left, the teachers just modify some words here and there…or even try to mold the essay toward how you will fit into the specific college environment and why? Maybe you should tell them to always have a different “fit and why?” statement for each specific college your applying. But this is not to say that the teacher has to dramatically revamp their essay for each college. They should keep paragraphs that describe you as a student and person. The “fit and why?” statement is only there to make it a little specific to the college and have the essays vary to some extent.
No, if your uni uses common app/ their own website way of applying, they will have a section where the teachers can actually submit a word document (essay) directly. This is if they have an email. So the scenario here is: When you start your application for one of your college (let’s say), you go over to the teacher recommendation section. There, it will be stated that you have a choice to pick 2 teachers. Then you enter their email addresses, and once they receive the email from common app people for the college, all they do is follow the instructions from the email to submit their recommendation online. If you’re teacher are not tech savy, I would actually tell them to maybe have some technical knowledge assist them in the process. Once the teacher has sent the recommendation via online through common app, you will be notified by your college tracking account that their materials have been received. It may take 2 weeks at most to process these online things even if you turned them in online since colleges have a lot of online works to go over each day during this season. So don’t panic if your college hasn’t updated that they have received a recommendation even if you teacher turned it in 3 days ago. Also, teacher recommendations are usually given a little leeway if something weird happens in between the process. As long as your own application (student portion) has been received on time, they will continue to wait, given that you showcase your concern and keep yourself updated on what you have turned in and what is left TO BE TURNED IN.
Again, in my experience, if a uni does not do common app, it may have its own online system which you can apply through going to its website > admission> apply and you will see the details of this procedure. Not EVERYTHING can be sent online. Some supplemental things like what Rice University and other unis may ask for may need to be mailed over. However, few things like that are better than having to mail the entire thing by snail mail and then simply fear over whether your whole app has been received or not.

Go to the school forms section of the common application. It should be on the left side, near the bottom.

THANKS A LOT GUYS…

just one more doubt…
The high school transcript should be snail mailed to them right??you cant scan and upload the transcript and send it , can you??
And how could univ know that the essay(recommendations) is authentic ie. written only by teachers and not by students??
