<p>Why doesn't BC care about interest? Do the math: Every year BC has a rise in number of applicants (about 12% give or take a few). My years was 22500, last year was 26500, and I'm going to give a low estimate of 29000 for 2011 class. Assume that 1/3 expresses interest, that's still almost 10000 students express sincere intention they want to go here. With only 2250 slot opening, realistically, if you were the admission office, how much would you care? The number is just way too high to have interest count. It's sad, but this number game makes the odds stand against you.</p>
