Help how can i get into a uc with my grades

You all probably know why I am so excited and you are correct: I seriously f'ed up.

When I was in 8th grade, I got bad grades and told myself and my parents that I would do better. When I got into the 9th grade, I f'ed up again once more because geometry took a toll on me, and basketball got the edge of me. I told myself and my parents that I would apply to a UC because they didnt look at freshman year grades. Then came sophomore year. I was all determined, and pumped up to get good grades and I did, until I got cocky and didnt study for the finals. BOTH SEMESTERS.

Sophomore year grades
Marching Band: A/A
Algebra 2: B/B
English 2: B/A
Spanish 2: B/C
AP Human Geography: B/B
Chemistry CP: B/B

DO YOU SEE???? Now here I am in the junior year, already done with first semester finals. I realized that the lowest GPA (unweighted) I could get is a 3.16 and the highest a 3.5 (unweighted).

Junior year grades
Marching Band: A
APUSH: B+
Physics CP: B
AP Lang: B (HOPEFULLY A)
Spanish 3: B (HOPEFULLY A)
Pre Calc: B+

I want to apply to UCI or UCSD. My dad is dreaming about Berkeley and LA, but I'm letting him live in his fantasy for the moment.

HOW DO I TURN MY SITUATION AROUND. All answers are appreciated and please, answer seriously.

Go here and start figuring out for yourself what you need for admission to a UC: [University of California - 2012 admissions index](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/freshman/applying-fall-2012/2012-admissions-index/index.html)
If you meet the minimum requirements of combined GPA and test score conversion score, you will be admitted to a UC, although not necessarily one of your choice, From what I see you are actually still on track although much will depend on rest of this year and test score.

Get straight A’s and hope for the best. Apply to the UC’s but as you know, they are extremely competitive for anyone. Try applying to all if possible, it increases your chances of gaining admitance to the system. If you can’t, try some CC’s around the UC’s. I believe there are some CC’s that are specifically tailored to putting people into the UC system.
