Do I wait until Monday to call??? Or does this ^^^^ Mean no??

You did not quite make the cut by being evaluated as a first time in college freshman (FTIC), but are being considered as a transfer.

Someone like you actually has two chances to get in to UF. All high school duel enrolled students are considered as FTIC freshman with advanced standing if they are accepted. They are accepted as freshman, but may have sophomore or junior standing. Graduating high school with an AA means you could be accepted as a freshman with junior standing. But if you don’t quite make the “bar” as a FTIC freshman with advanced standing, you get another chance as a transfer.

I can tell you that if they did NOT want you either way, you would have a “not accepted” decision. So if there is no decision, that is still positive for you. Call on Monday or Tues. The phones will be crazy. But you will probably get to speak with someone once you say that you did not have a decision listed. They will then tell you the timeline on when you can expect to hear as a transfer. GOOD LUCK!!! Last year, students in your position generally heard within 2-4 weeks.

They don’t. They post the decisions on Friday at 5pm, the moment the phones are no longer answered. They will not be there to answer the phone tomorrow. Each year, there are non-decisions and those not accepted who want to call. But UF does not want to deal with it until after the weekend. I don’t agree with this. At least this year they are not celebrating President’s day…

Thanks all for your replies. And yes I’ll just have to wait until Monday. And it’s weird because I applied as a freshman, not as a transfer. And I only have on year credits, not the 2 year AA. I called them before to see why that was there and they said not worry about it. And I applied in August, how much time do they need? LOL!

no answer for me yet…spoke with a CLAS adviser who told me transfer decisions are still being made, and should be made by March 25th (the latest)…if my status was not updated then i am supposed to call and speak with her directly. the waiting is what stinks - i will have my AA in may (3 weeks before i actually graduate high school!) and according to all that i read, i “SHOULD” get in b/c i will have met the requirements for a BA in Economics. i am leaning to FSU anyway just because the location is more of a northern feel and i love cold weather - more than anything i just need a definitive answer!
