HELP!! HOW TO RESPOND TO AN ADMISSIONS OFFICER!

I recently emailed my regional admissions officer inquiring about scheduling an alumni interview. I applied regular decision so there is still 2+ months left until decisions are released.

She e-mailed me back today saying exactly "thank you for the email below and I look forward to reviewing your application"

I am COMPLETELY confused as to how I should respond, whether I should respond at all, just assume her response is the equivalence to a no for the interview, or to ask the question again since she did not address the question at all.

Any advice would be HIGHLY appreciated! Thank you!!!!!

Aren’t interviews generally done before/when applying? Once the app deadline has passed and interview or lack thereof becomes part of your app, no?

@OHMomof2 I am not completely sure, a student who works in the admissions office at the university told me it was still possible, but she probably isn’t as much of a reliable source as an actual admissions officer

Typically alumni interviews are set up through an alumni committee and not through the regional admissions officer. So your regional officer most likely has nothing to do with scheduling interviews.

cba is correct. OHMom, most interviews happen after the app is submitted. @Sarah1002: I think the admissions officer just fired off a quick email w/o delving into your inquiry. Just let it slide. If your local interview coordinator assigns you to someone, they’ll get in touch. If not, then not. Either way, it’s nothing to worry about.

If you want an interview at the school admission office, call the office directly and schedule one/find out if it is possible. They will know the policy. If you are speaking of alumni interview, then often they contact you by email directly.

AH. With S’12 all interviews were completed when he applied, but we tended to schedule them when visiting the school, and all were with AO staff, none with alumni.
