how to understand BMC’s characteristics? what ppl does it like? i think it’s not enough to just browse the college website, google and wiki. thx!

Are the women of BMC a bit left-winger? what about the international relations and econ in BMC v.s which in Smith? Thank you for your time! :)

Visiting really really really helps. I really really recommend spending a night there if possible.

If visiting isn't possible:

Chat with current students here! Think of some questions you have, and just send them a PM or something. I'm sure they'd be happy to help you. (And once I officially become a current student, I'll be happy to talk to you too, even if I don't know as much about BMC as someone who has spent a year or more there).

You could probably even go and join the Class of '12 Facebook group and we'd be willing to chat. (I mention this because it is a LOT more active than CC) :D Or you could just browse- see how we talk with each other, see our interests, etc.

And, from my point of view... most common/important characteristics of BMC students: Love of learning, passion for something. Maybe not everyone will agree with me on this, but it's still a big part of BMC. And another important element of BMC's culture is the honor code- check that out on the website.

And, yes, I think BMC leans towards the more liberal side of the spectrum. (I'll leave the IR and econ questions to someone that knows more about Smith/BMC's econ/IR programs.)

@brillar, Thank you so much for advices! :D I search the bryn mawr class of '12 on facebook and see some photos. The campus is really amazing! I love the Gothic architecture decorated with a garden-style campus. I'd love to visit the campus in winter, lol (cuz I'm a transfer applicant) haha, but I'm not sure if I should join the group cuz maybe it's weird for transfer applicants to join?

Thank you froghorn, I joined the group a minute ago :) hope that Bryn Mawr girls are open-minded there, haha. And it's really great that BMC's group is not a closed one as Smith. ;)

hi, anyone here could add me on facebook please? I really want to know someone at Bryn Mawr. :) Thank you. I will pm you if you are interested in add me. I feel a little shy to talk directly in the group without knowing anyone.
