HELP!! I-20 problem

Hi,

I'm an international student currently attending a university in U.S. on F-1 visa and got accepted to U of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) for Fall 2011 for Math program.

I'm taking two summer classes now at the current school, and Internatioanl Center in my school told me they have a rule that they can release my SEVIS record after all grades are posted.
UIUC can issue an I-20 after the current school release my SEVIS record.

Summer semester grades are available on Aug. 16, but UIUC fall semester will start on Aug.22.
Getting I-20 usually takes two weeks or more, so I think I will not be able to get the I-20 from UIUC until the fall semester starts.

So MY QUESTION is,
"What happens if I don't have I-20 from UIUC until the fall semester starts?? Can I take fall classes at UIUC? Should I request to defer my admission to the next semester??"

Internatioanl studenets, PLEASE HELP ME!!!! It's really not my fault at all...I'm worrying about it so much........
I'm now in U.S., it's not a problem related to entrance to the U.S.

You are not leaving the country between summer school and starting UIUC, are you?

In that event, whatever UIUC is fine with works, so you should really talk to them. FYI, the ONLY holdup is internal bureaucracy in the international student offices at your current school and UIUC. If both offices cooperated, they could transfer your SEVIS record and issue a new I-20 in less than an hour.

Hey, thanks for replying.
No, I’m not leaving.

yes I’ve contacted international center at both of the schools. but I haven’t got an answer yet, so I’m worrying so much…

Do you know what happens if their cooperations doesn’t work and I can’t receive a new I-20 until the first day of fall semester?

Sorry for my English :)

^ That depends entirely on UIUC.
