Let me begin by saying I’m from a different UC campus. I recently added a class that belongs to the wrong summer session (Summer Session A, 1st 6 weeks) when I wanted to add a class that belongs Summer Session D, 2nd 6 weeks. I didn’t notice this until I get an email from the professor, giving me assignments that are labelled “assignment 7,8,9.”
I called the Summer Sessions phone number and the lady told me I had to withdraw from the class, and that I would not be refunded because it was past the deadline. This all sounds insane for me to add a class near when the term is over, never attending the class or completing the assignments, having to withdraw and still pay for everything… is there anything I can do??
After I told her I haven’t payed for the tuition or any fees yet because I added the class so recently, she said I’d be then charged a total of $500 ish, not having to pay for the class itself, but that this was a withdrawal fee of some sort… However, appearing on my portal it’s $1,900 total… and the tution & fees before I withdrew from the class was $1,600…
Has anybody heard of a similar situation or know of anything I can do? Can I even fight them on this? :\ Does anyone even have the power to just void this for me please help
