<p>any tips for high school freshman? just started school, and want to know of any things that would help for college applications. maybe some contests, classes, things to do. anything will help!! also, i am taking pre-calc this year and AP stats, any tips for getting a five in AP and passing them.</p>

<p>Just get good grades and get involved in activities that you like - don’t sign up for three million clubs, two or three is sufficient. If you like community activism, you can volunteer in your community (doing anything worthwhile – you don’t have to tutor underprivileged kids if you don’t like kids. You can volunteer for park cleanups and environmental campaigns, shadow a doctor and volunteer in a free clinic, volunteer at an animal shelter, organize fundraisers, etc.) And keep a cool head and don’t worry too much about college yet. You have 4 years before you will get there! Just do your best and stay out of trouble.</p>
