Hi guys!

So I am senior and I've had my eyes on Penn since sophomore year. All this time, my goal has been Wharton.

However, when I took the SAT, my math scores sucked at 600. Now, I love math. Math and science are my favorite. I am currently taking AP Calc AB (my school doesn't offer BC) and AP Stats. I've always loved math.

The rest of my scores are: 700 Reading, 670 Grammar.
SAT Subject tests: World 710, Math 1 670, Spanish 800

I am also AP Scholar with Distinction.

Now, like I said, all this time I've wanted to do I-banking. But there's a problem: I really, really like science. I definetely want to do medical research when I go to school. But I like finance. But I like science. But I like finance. And I like science.

So where should I apply??? I now Wharton emphasizes math alot, and as much as I like math, they are going to see my score (600), say "Oh wow she sucks at it" and I might not get in.

But maybe if I apply to the College of Arts & Science my math score won't play such a big role. If I take this route, how hard is it to transfer to Wharton afterwards?

Guys I know there are resumes out there way more impressing than mine. I am not trying to put myself down but I can already see the number of posts saying: "Wharton is impossible with that score". I am aware is hard. However, I am really interested in Penn. It's my first choice.

I come from a "ghetto" school (for lack of a better word). I am the first AP Scholar with Disctinction in 4 + years. My scores are one of the highest in my school.

So what should I do? I applied through Questbridge (special application for "high-achieving low income students"). My final application (where I choose whether to go for Wharton or the College) is due by the end of October.

Should I give Wharton a shot and risk getting denied? The school looks incredible.

Thank you. =)
