So my twin brother and I finally finished our college essays. In school we have one teacher say great and the other says scrap it. So many opinions that we are very confused. Do you need to stick to the topic question or not? Is there anyone who REALLY knows about the new common application questions and would be willing to read our essays?? Losing our minds!
Please let me know if you would be willing to read our essays and truly tell us what you think based on the new common app. prompts.
A million thanks...

There is no one who ‘really knows’ except the college reader.

You both have the similar experience of one teacher liking it and the other not? Strange. I suggest you get your separate CC accounts and take care of yourself.

I think to ignore the topic is not a good idea. But if you are clever you can turn it on it’s head, sidestep it etc. But if you do that your essay had better be good. And most essays aren’t. That’s my 2 cents.

Would you be willing to read my essay? You sound like you know what you are talking about. Problem is that everyone has a different opinion - I get that. I just want to know if I am on the right track? Only if you have time. If not I understand completely.
Many thanks…

ok I will take a look tonight or tomorrow, no problem. But you need 15 posts to PM. maybe you can see an email option when you click my name.

I’ll be happy to read it
