All right guys...here is my situation:
I got accepted into two in-state universities (I prefer to stay in-state cuz financial issues)..one of them is a state university (like University of XX -state) and one of them is a smaller public university, maybe famous in small region but maybe unheard of for most people...
If I go to the big state university, I have to move away from home, which would be difficult for me, emotionally and financially. However, my goal is to go to the top medical schools. Going to a more well known school may help me in admission process when time comes.I also have to get a apartment, new car...blah blah blah...you name it...but the it is a better school and have many more resources than the smaller public university.

If I go to the smaller university (all right..it's Winthrop University), then I can stay with my parents and save a lot of money for med-school. However, this is not a well known university and has less resources than a state university. It may be a disadvantage for me when i am applying for med school. Somebody asked me this the other day "What makes a top med school admission officer choose a girl from a small college than a girl with the same credentials that came from a well-known or even ivy league school?"...so it got me thinking...However, obviously, this school is a more financial smart choice for me...

So guys..what do you think...what would you choose if you were me???
