My GC is not very tech-savvy and has been no help whatsoever in helping me figure out how letters of recommendation work between naviance and the CA, so I need some help.

I'm trying to assign letters of recommendation to schools on the common app. I was under the impression that once my teachers had uploaded their letters through naviance, I would be able (in the CA) to choose which letter to send to which school, and that I did not need to tell my teachers specifically to send letters to X, Y, Z. However, earlier today my last teacher recommender uploaded his letter to naviance, and now naviance says that his letter is completed. On the CA, however, his name does not show up. Do I need to ask my teacher to upload his letter to XYZ schools, or is there a lag between uploading on naviance and availability on the CA?

So does that mean that my school has to update naviance, or something of that nature? He sent the letter during the day today, which could explain that. Or do I need to specifically request letters through the administration? I doubt that that is the case, since I figure my school would have at least told me about that.

You assign schools in naviance then you have to pair the common application with naviance. You have to make sure your naviance shows colleges as applied to. .

The school now has to send the letters to the schools. The teachers upload to naviance but you can’t see it. It will only show on your end when the counsler moved the letters to upload to the schools.

^I can’t seem to view the photo even after removing the brackets…

I’m in a similar situation and would love to see a sample picture of how the CA website should look like after recommendations have been sent successfully

I figured out that you do actually need to tell your teacher to upload the letter to specific colleges. So if you are applying to X, ask your teacher “hey, could you please send your letter to X through naviance?” You, personally, don’t actually have the option to submit them from a list or anything. Thank you all for the help, though.
