Hey now. I'm a Caucasian female from Pennsylvania wishing to apply to Colby...problem is, I'm not sure of my chances of being accepted. My SATs weren't terrible (650 cr, 580 [super!] math, 640 writing), though I'm not the best at standardized tests (as I get bored and/or frustrated). My GPA isn't garbage either (3.74, ranked 46 of 346 in a public highschool), and I have a lot of ECs. I've been a swimmer for about 10 years, and I've managed to be quite successful at it--I also have been playing field hockey for 5 years. I'm not entirely sure that private D3 schools really pay much attention to athletics though, which is depressing. I'm in NHS, SNHS, NAHS, Student Council, Secretary of Spanish Club, Letterman's Club, and blah blah blah. I'm currently taking three AP courses (Spanish, English, and History), and I guess I'm doing well in them (they're pretty sweet because Bs count as As and As are like a 5.0, thus I can screw up in other classes and not suffer! MUWAHAHA!). So if anyone can give me a hint as to where I stand, that'd be wicked. Thanks.
