Hi so I'm applying ED to Wash U and my gpa unweighted freshman year: 4.0(all As) sophomore year: 3.8(2 B's) junior year(1 B) : 3.9 os an average of 3.9 BUT I heard they look at the first grading period. I missed a bunch of work and my grades tanked partly because of the Jewish holidays and me missing school. At the 6 week progress report I have

AP Lit: B
AP Stats: C
AP Gov: B+
AP Psych: B+
Ap French 4: B+

Gov, Psych and French are all 88 and 89s that I know will go up by the end of this week because missing work will be put in and we also took tests that I got As on. Also in Lit we have 3 assignments and 25 points in the class total so I don't see how that is representative at all.

The next progress report is released 6 days after the ED application date At that point I know at the very least I'd have As in gov psych and french with at least 2 Bs in lit and stats.

First of all how does this process work Can I have some advice on what to do?!!

Yeah that’s what I thought but should I just send them a current recording of my grades when they get changed because the current official report has all the BS

Maybe email your admissions officer to let him/her know in advance that you will be sending an updated report six days after the ED date which will reflect your grades after you have made up for work you missed as a result of the Jewish Holidays.

@amorgancc96 I hope this worked for you, but my cousin applied ED washu last year, and they did not flex at ALL with the date for his 6 week grades. Best of luck, though.

i talked to my school counselor and because the progress report is so unofficial she said she could just take my grades now and put the school seal on it and send it as a pdf in my common app. I’m actually not sure if this is correct but i was presuming that the optional report is the first grading period grades section
