So I have applied for two choices at McGill university, and I have been put on a waiting list for my biochemistry choice, which is my first one, after having been on decision pending for about two weeks.
McGill is my first choice, so I absolutely want to go there, and decided I'm going to do something in order to increase the chances I'd get accepted. So I have taken a look at the forum, and read I should call or email them to inform them they're my top choice and eventually send them additional things (such as additional reference letters, my second trimester grades). But where should I send my email to, or to where should I make a call? Should it be at the service point? Or is there a specific place I should contact. Also, I'm confused as to what to include in the email or what to say in a phone call, and how I should write it up.
I've been studying with a french system, and my average this year was 15,28/20, and a little lower for the 10th and 11th grades (being in the rage of 14/20), however my grades in 8th and 9th grades were excellent, but I doubt it really matters to them, but I sent them anyway. Finally I had 109/120 on the TOEFL internet based test.
My second choice for architecture however is still decision pending and now I'm glad it is. I have sent the portfolio which was quite good, and I'm still waiting for their decision (I hope I'll get accepted), but I heard there weren't that many seats for architecture, and does being listed as my second choice diminishes my chances to be accepted?
Please help I'm freaking out!
