Help! I have no clue

So im going to be a senior next year and I have no clue which colleges to apply to
My stats are
WGPA: 4.3
UWGPA:3.84
SAT: 2090 CR:680 M:690 W:720 (literally equal in all three lol)
Sat lls: Math ll : 710 Bio M: 710

I live in California and I am open to colleges that are out of state but I don’t think my family could afford any school with expenses over 35k a year.

I’m probably going to major in actuarial science/economics/ finance OR bioengineering/biotechnology.

I will likely apply to most of the UCs. But I was curious if anyone knew of out of state schools that offer good scholarships or schools that have low tuition?

Any help would be so greatly appreciated!!

Schools in the WUE Western Undergrad Exchange offer CA applicants reduced tuition for OOS schools. Here is the link with a list of participating schools:

You are a competitive applicant for the UC’s, so definitely apply to several. You might also want to consider USC which may offer you 1/2 tuition based on your GPA/test scores. Other privates to consider would be Occidential, Santa Clara (SCU), LMU and Univ of San Diego (USD) where merit aid could bring the costs.

With your gpa and sat you can get a free tuition at alabama. Also if you major in engineering they will add 2500 per year to go to towards other expenses besides the tuition. I know alabama may not be that enticing but its a good safety for someone who is money conscious

From your other post, Canadian unis would be very cheap for you.

Besides Toronto, McGill, and Waterloo, also look at UBC. It’s closer to home.

Browse these lists of lower cost and merit giving colleges. It is unlikely you will match UC price and quality unless you are qualified for a lot of need aid and get into colleges that give it.
