so i need two SAT II scores in so that i can apply to duke and a few other schools and have until end of Jan for that
i have one SAT II so far so should i spend this time to study for another subject test or just decide to take the ACT?
suggestions? thanks

EDIT: the one SAT II score i have is only a 610 so i would probably have to study for two subject tests to take in January

Have you taken any ACT practice tests? Personally I thought it was way easier than the SAT. If both test dates are different, couldn’t you just study for 1 more subject test and see how you do on both? 1 subject test isn’t that much. Another thing to think about is a 610 is pretty low for Duke.

Whether or not you take Subject tests depends in part on if you’re prepared for any. Which APs did you take last year that you could review and take the Subject tests for?

You could take the 2 subjects tests on Jan 25, then the ACT on Feb 8, as long as you can carve out enough time to prepare. However, if you don’t have time, I’d go with the ACT.
(BTW, I would take two subjects, perhaps the same you got that 610 on, and another one. Duke would expect 700’s.)
