Hi, I sort of have an idea for what books I should get for the following APs, but I need some other opinions. Thanks!

AP English Language and Composition
AP U.S. Government and Politics
AP Macroeconomics
AP Statistics
AP Chemistry
AP Psychology (self-study)
AP Microeconomics (self-study)

Barron’s is all you need for AP Psych, but I think REA’s Crash Course has gotten rave reviews as well - so you may want to pick that up as another resource/last minute study tool. I had picked up PR for AP Lang but never used it - your teacher should be able to provide you with plenty of practice MC and you can look up sample essays/topics on AP Central.

AP English Language and Composition - CliffsAP, but if your class is good, you won’t need Cliffs. If you really want a review book, get Cliffs.
AP U.S. Government and Politics - Princeton Review hands down.
AP Macroeconomics - I heard PR, but no first hand experience here yet.
AP Statistics - Barron’s
AP Chemistry - Also heard PR, but again no personal experience.
AP Psychology (self-study) - Review book: Barron’s. Heard you could get a 5 with only Barron’s, but I personally like to get textbooks for self-studies. So for psych, I’d go with Myers Psychology.
AP Microeconomics (self-study) - I hear PR is best, but no first hand. I’m also selfing this and macro next year and got Economics by Krugman for the textbook. But you might get a textbook which covers this portion of econ in your macro class.

It’s silly to buy a book for AP Lang.
You shouldn’t need a book for AP Stats - it’s also easy.
I have Barron’s for AP Chem and I like it a lot, but I haven’t taken the test yet.

PR is a good review book or a supplement to your textbook, but if you have a terrible teacher, I’d go with Barron’s. It’s better to learn too much than too little, eh?

AP English Language and Composition - Cliffs
AP U.S. Government and Politics - PR
AP Statistics - Barron’s
AP Microeconomics - 5 Steps to a 5 (this book mentioned a topic that my textbook didn’t, which was on the AP exam)

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, guys.

I’ve got this AP Achiever book that the school gave us along with our Economics textbook. Anyone have any experience using it?
