HELP! I need more schools!

Definitely look into more ACC schools:

UNC
Boston College
Georgia Tech

Maybe Wake Forest if you’re willing to go smaller.

How big is the Catholic influence at Boston College? Will not being Catholic make me almost like an outcast, if I were to attend?

askjeeves: I don’t think I have the stats for UNC, since I’m OOS. Wake is also too small, I think, although it seems great.

Would I have a chance at South Carolina’s honors program, possibly?

It runs the same lines as Gonzaga and other Jesuit/Catholic schools where religion is present and integrated into the curriculum but is really not oppressive at all.

According to their website about 70% of students self-report as Catholic. Here’s some interesting perspective from BC’s Hillel -

UNC-CH doesn’t even have an Honors College. It’s a program, which is quite different.

^ Like UNC-CH, Virginia (cited in post 17 as a top 5 honors college) doesn’t have an Honors College, but rather honors programs: [Does U.Va. have an honors program? | Office of Undergraduate Admission](http://www.admission.virginia.edu/node/45)

Pittsburgh, though, does have a separate Honors College, and is rather generous with merit aid as well, though my understanding is that it’s less generous as the application cycle goes on. OP, do you have time to do several new applications? Pitt’s is quick and easy.

Hey guys, thanks for all your help. I was accepted to Michigan today  so not filling out any more apps. I’ve already sent in more, so I’ll just wait to hear back and weigh my options from there. But I can’t thank you all enough for your insight.
