Help I Need Somebody

Hello my SAT I scores are M-450 CR-480 W-470 with an unweighted gpa of 3.45. I applied to University of South Florida and received a letter notifying me that my decision was going to be diferred. Does this mean that I am probably going to be denied? Also, should I retake SAT in January?

It does not necessarily mean you will be denied. It just means that you weren’t quite strong enough for them to give a definite yes.

You should retake the SAT in January if your school accepts it. It should help you.

Yes, definitely retake the SAT’s as many times as you can. Schools take the highest scores from each section and combine them so you can raise your score considerably.

Deferred does not mean denied, but it could end up happening. You will have to wait for their decision.

What do you think are the chances of being accepted or denied?

bump…

we cant tell you that, there are so many things in an application besieds GPA and test scores.

I retook the SAT again and scored CR-560 M-430 W-480. Do you think I might have a better chance now, although my math is really bad? :s

Also my GPA is 3.5 unweighted

bump jeje…

Could you please chance me for Temple U. and U. of South Florida. xD

bumping…

deference =/= rejection

you could still get in.

i agree with the others who said retake the SAT.

temple U is a definitely reach.

You would definitely have a better chance now, because most colleges look at the top scores from each retake. Also, your improvement shows motivation and suggests that you will continue to get better grades for the rest of high school and in college.

I’m afraid I do not know the calibre required for these schools, but based on the middle 50% of enrolled students’ SAT scores found on princetonreview.com:

Your SAT (superscored): 1040
Temple University Average SAT: 1053
University of South Florida Average SAT: 1087

I’d say that as of now, they are matches/ slight reaches. But I have no idea how good your essays, recommendations, and ECs are so I could be very wrong.

To put it in perspective: all 6 of the colleges that I have applied to have an average SAT equal to mine- which is not an intelligent move on my part.

I would try to apply to colleges still accepting applications if these are the only ones you have applied to, just to put your mind at rest!

:D Thnx. I am really nervous, since I’m supposed to get the decision during this week or next.

:d…

monkey butt???

buuummmmmmppp

okeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiii

oh tartar sauce!
