around 10 days ago, I sent an email about my continuing interest for both Babson and Boston College (I was deferred from both). However, I just NOW realised that I sent the same BC mail to Babson (so I told Babson that my passion to study at BC is even more now etc etc) However, they responded by thanking me for my interest and said that they added it to my file. A couple days later I received an official mail (not from a single person but from the admissions as a whole- you know those promotional looking emails) also thanking me for my interest after my deferral and asking me if I wanted to book an interview.
Does this mean they’re over the whole mixup thing, or should I send an apology email even though it has been 10 days and they already responded??? Do you think this will affect my chances??
If you wrote “BC”, then that could also mean “Babson College,” so maybe they don’t see it as an error.
Either way, I wouldn’t draw attention to it and would just schedule the interview. Don’t bring it up.
Yes as the reply above states, as long as you mentioned it as ‘BC’ there shouldn’t be an issue.
I am curious though, did you receive a confirmation email from the admissions office after submitting the letter? I was also deferred and submitted a 2 page letter as an attachment on an email to the admissions office but received no reply. Should I call the ugrad office to confirm if they added it to my file?
thanks for all the replies, but I actually wrote Boston College lol
I ended up not doing anything not to draw attention to it, hopefully its not a big deal.
@CrypticCrimson - My email wasnt like a defer letter, it was only a 3 line email stating that I would still like to be considered for admissions after being deferred. However, I received a confirmation email thanking me and saying that theyre adding it to my file (this came a couple days after). But i wouldnt worry if you didnt receive a response, because I sent this mail to boston college as well and they did not send me anything back.
