I'm so frustrated i took the SAT in 7th grade and got an 1800 and took 5 years of prep classes and I didn't improve much! Please give me advice! I got a perfect math score but really low CR score. I am currently a junior.

Well marlena, it would help if you told us your most recent scores. For CR, is vocabulary a problem?

Stop taking prep classes and study by yourself. Buy the blue book (“The Official SAT Study Guide” edition 2) and take the tests. Take your first test with no time limit, and try to get all the questions right. This way you test your actual reasoning skills. Try to understand why you get questions wrong. Remember that the test isn’t based on content (what you know) as much as it is based on reasoning (logic and thinking). Keep taking the test un-timed until your score increases significantly. Then, take the test under the normal time limit and work on your timing.

Remember that for CR, aside from vocabulary, there is really nothing to learn! There is no content that you have to take time to learn and memorize. Understanding questions and answering them correctly is the only problem, which you can fix by studying by yourself.

i suggest the blue book, it was my bible for the sat. and do ALL the provided practice tests, that helped me a lot
