For my Common App essay, I wrote about an extracurricular that’s been very important in my growth as a person. For a supplemental, I wrote about that extracurricular in a different context. I didn’t even think about it being an issue until someone pointed it out to me. Is this something admissions offices don’t want to see?
I dont think they’ll take it that way they’ll probably just see that you’re very passionate about it
It won’t be a problem, for as long as the content came from the same person.
Is the app already submitted? If do, it is what it is. If not, you may want to change one of them for that school.
Don’t worry about it, because you wrote about it in different contexts, answering different prompts. Unless you used substantially similar paragraphs / multiple sentences or phrases in both, to the extent it looks like you cut and paste from one essay to answer the other, then you will be fine.
Is this for Vanderbilt?
Don’t worry at all, something like that wont affect your application negatively. Especially if it was in different context
